KCLAD Dewatering Update

Happy Holidays,

This week’s wells report is attached.

The KCLAD generator has been in and out of service since December 24th. A mechanic is on-site today to repair it, bringing it back online. During this time, the wells have also been in and out of service, causing the water table to rise on both wells. The attached report, taken yesterday when the wells were running, summarizes the numbers.

Current production: Two wells (5 and 6) produce 370 gallons per minute combined, with a depth to water of approximately 58 feet.

Well inventory: KCLAD has two active wells (5 and 6) with submersible pumps set at 110 feet.

Future development: All resources are currently focused on winterization.

Well Inventory: KCLAD has five wells, with the two active ones developed in 2024, and older wells from 1987 and 2023 (#3 and #4 respectively). A shallow pump (Well #4A) will be retired.

Future Development: Plans include putting wells #3 and #4 back into production, adding ultrasonic meters, and investing in a sonic water level meter to monitor subsurface water.

Additional Data: Weekly readings are updated in a provided spreadsheet.

KCLAD Dewatering Update 10/31/24

KCLAD has 5 wells. Our goal is to get all five pumping as soon as possible. We currently are pumping water from our two newest Wells, #5 and #6. Each of these Wells are producing 250-300 gpm, combined 500-600 gpm. Well #5 was offline for almost a month, but is back online now.

Depth to Water continues to drop from earlier levels. Well #6 is 47 feet and should continue to drop with the addition of Well #5.

Our next order of business is to get Wells #3, #4, and #4A (shallow Well) back on line, and to add working meters to all of the Wells.

We will post future updates either weekly or bi-weekly on this forum.

Thank you so much for all of this work & information. I second Joel's comment, with the addition of SCE to the enemy list.
