Coyote sighting at PBC

Be careful walking dogs in PBC. I saw a coyote by the green dog parkette on the corner of Spindrift & Yacht Harbor at 8:30pm on Friday, 4/18/25. When I blared my car horn and shouted at him, he just stopped to stare at me while crossing the street and going up the slope by the stop sign.

Reminder $10K LA County grant for all landslide homeowners

FYI if you have not yet applied for the $10,000 LA County grant thru the city for landslide complex homeowners, you can still do so.

Don’t delay though as the city is going to put a sunset deadline on that grant soon so they can use any remaining undistributed funds for landslide mitigation. As of last night’s city council meeting, 59 eligible households have still not applied. Plz tell your neighbors.

Plz join the rally at 4pm on Friday afternoon for federal landslide aid.

All landslide residents need to help by banding together & being a visible presence at city council meetings AND Friday’s rally. This message is from our Seaview neighbors:

Dear neighbors,

We will be rallying in front of the Trump golf course tomorrow afternoon starting at 4:00 p.m.

The President is scheduled to visit the area sometime tomorrow afternoon and/or evening. We want to show our need for help from the Federal government for the ongoing landslide. As you know, the city is running out of money and we need federal and state help.

LET ME BE CLEAR, this has nothing to do with my or anyone else's political ideology. We are doing this to bring attention to the landslide, continue to advocate for federal funding, and request to be included as part of ANY DISASTER FUNDING TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

The President will be meeting with the city leadership.…

KCLAD Dewatering Update

Happy Holidays,

This week’s wells report is attached.

The KCLAD generator has been in and out of service since December 24th. A mechanic is on-site today to repair it, bringing it back online. During this time, the wells have also been in and out of service, causing the water table to rise on both wells. The attached report, taken yesterday when the wells were running, summarizes the numbers.

Current production: Two wells (5 and 6) produce 370 gallons per minute combined, with a depth to water of approximately 58 feet.

Well inventory: KCLAD has two active wells (5 and 6) with submersible pumps set at 110 feet.

Future development: All resources are currently focused on winterization.
