Partnering with the Marine Mammal Care Center to return rehabilitated sea lions to their ocean home

Portuguese Bend Beach Club is honored to provide a safe and natural shoreline for the release of rehabilitated sea lions. Each release represents months of rescue, medical care, and dedication from the Marine Mammal Care Center’s veterinary and rescue teams.
By hosting these releases, PBC supports marine conservation, public awareness, and the protection of the ocean ecosystem we cherish.
Confetti's Story
Recently, PBC hosted the release of a rehabilitated sea lion named Confetti. After being rescued and treated for serious injuries, Confetti regained his strength and was successfully returned to the ocean from our shoreline..
His journey from rescue to release was covered by KTLA, highlighting the incredible work being done to protect marine mammals in Southern California.
