Dinners

One of our wonderful Seaview neighbors asked me to share his family’s invitation with the PBC community……

This is our comfort and mutual aid meeting of the LWGD-Landslide Working Group Dinners for residents. We only have each other.

Mark Nia Charlotte Young of 4364 Admirable Drive are inviting the community on Sunday 10/6, starting at 5-530 pm. We welcome ANY resident of Rancho Palos Verdes, Seaview, Portuguese Upper Bend, PBC Beach Club, and PVE who wants to help, even if not affected.  Mark’s number is 626-376-7779.

Feel free to bring something to share but we're going to order Stone Fire Grille or Sorrentos with vegan options too.

This Sunday then, starting Mondays on 10/14 10/21 10/28 @ 5-530 start time. Please come late if anyone can't get here on time. The door will be open.

Monday, October 21, 2024, Neighbors’ LWGD Landslide Working Group Dinner Meeting Agenda:

• The meeting is open to all residents affected by the landslide & immediate neighbors who want to help.

• All concerns, ideas, and solutions are welcome.

• The focus of the meeting will be:

1. Asking the utility companies to do their due diligence and bring back service in a SAFE and RELIABLE manner.

OR

2. Require SCE and SoCalGas to subsidize alternative sources of energy (solar, propane, etc.) to make the cost reasonable, meaning having electricity and gas at the same cost as what comparable homes who currently have service pay for these services.

3. Involving the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to accomplish items #1 and #2.

4. Asking KCLAD (Landslide Abatement Districts) to perform their responsibilities and duties and expedite it before more homes are lost.

5. Working and collaborating with the City to incorporate their resources to assist the resident.

6. Other issues residents want to discuss.
